Beschreibung

The Zoora Neck is worked seamlessly from the top down in one piece.

Starting with a provisional tubular cast-on, the roll collar is knitted in twisted stitches.

Shoulder increases and short rows shape the neckline before the work is divided into front and back and finished flat.

A versatile accessory that can be worn over sweaters, shirts or jackets – lightweight, warm and elegant.

Construction

– Worked top-down in one piece

– Provisional tubular cast-on

– Roll collar in twisted stitches

– Shoulder shaping with increases

– Front and back finished flat

– Optional length adjustment

Skill Level

●●●●○ – for experienced knitters with knowledge of short rows and increases

Sizes

1 (2)

The Zoora Neck is designed for a relaxed fit around shoulders and neckline.

Size 1 fits approx. S–L, size 2 fits approx. M–XL.

Gauge

10 × 10 cm = 22 sts × 30 rows in stockinette stitch (washed and blocked, on 4 mm needles)

Materials

Smooth waste yarn for provisional cast-on (approx. 2.5 m)

6 stitch markers (2 in a different colour for round markers)

Tapestry needle, scissors, measuring tape

Tip

The first part of the collar is worked in twisted purl stitches.

If you tend to knit these more loosely, use a needle ½ size smaller.

For a longer version, work two extra rows between the decreases on front and back – adds approx. 7.5 cm in length (and requires a bit more yarn).
