Description

The Erikka Slipover V-Neck is a V-neck slipover worked seamlessly top down, both flat and in the round.

First, the back is worked flat and the shoulders are shaped using short rows. Then the right and left front are worked flat. For the body, back and front are joined and continued in the round. The armhole stitches flow into the body as slipped stitches, creating a decorative side seam.

Stitches for the neckband are picked up along the V-neck edges and the band is worked in ribbing in the round. The length is adjustable and easy to customize.

If you would like to knit the slipover with one or two strands, make sure to match gauge. Light summer yarns work well too – so you can wear it as a top.

Construction

Top down – the garment is worked seamlessly from top to bottom.

Details

Worked with three strands held together:
Approx. 100 / 100 / 125 / 150 / 150 / 175 / 175 / 200 g Lamana Premia
(60% Super Kid Mohair, 40% mulberry silk, approx. 300 m / 25 g),
shown held triple in colour 61 Lavender.

Alternatively, you can use any mohair–silk yarn. If the meterage is a bit shorter, the slipover may turn out slightly denser and/or a little heavier, and you may need a bit more yarn. What matters is that you match the gauge.
