Riika Socks – Knitting Pattern (PDF)
You will receive a download link after payment.
6-page detailed PDF pattern, illustrated.
The Riika Socks are worked from the cuff down to the toe in a rib pattern. The stripes create a sporty “college” look. The heel is worked as an increase heel with a heel flap gusset in purl stitches and a heel step gusset in knit stitches. The instep is then continued in ribbing while the sole is worked in stockinette stitch. The toe is a classic, comfortable wedge toe with right- and left-leaning decreases.
The Riika Socks are designed for classic 4-ply sock yarn. In general, you can use any 4-ply yarn that is suitable for socks and has a similar meterage—what matters is that you match gauge and adjust needle size if needed.
