Pearl Stitch Cardigan – Knitting Pattern (PDF)
The Pearl Stitch Cardigan is a classic, everyday cardigan with a clean silhouette and a button front. The all-over pearl stitch gives the fabric a calm, structured surface with a pleasant, grippy feel – simple to wear, but never boring.

FAQs
Who is this pattern suitable for?
Difficulty is ●●●○○. You should be comfortable knitting in rows and in the round and working pearl stitch. Basic shaping and button band details are included.
Is pearl stitch difficult?
It’s simple, but it needs attention because knit and purl stitches alternate. After a few centimetres it becomes very rhythmic.
How important is gauge?
Very important. Gauge (washed & blocked):
10 × 10 cm in pearl stitch = 17 sts × 30 rows with 4.5 mm needles.
Pearl stitch behaves differently from stockinette, so swatch in the pattern, wash and measure.
Can I use a different yarn?
Yes, as long as you match gauge. The yarn list above includes alternatives and estimated amounts.
How many buttons do I need?
8 buttons, approx. 15 mm diameter.
Which needles do I need?
Circular needles 4.0 mm and 4.5 mm (40 cm and 100 cm) and/or DPNs for smaller circumferences. Adjust needle size to match gauge.
How do I receive the pattern?
