For the complete cardigan, worked with double thread:
In total 275/275/325/350/375/425 g Lamana Shetland (100 % wool, meterage approx. 140 m/25 g), one half each in the colours 28M Schiefergrau and 47M Muskat. Additionally, I have used 25 g in col. 71M Lachs for the pockets and the highlights.
5 – 7 buttons, ø approx. 18 – 21 mm
Recommended needles: Circular needles 4 mm and 4,5 mm, 40 cm and min. 100 cm long.
Gauge, washed and blocked
10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch = 18 stitches x 28 rows or rounds on needle 4,5 mm.
Supplies. Stitch markers, 2 stitch holders or waste yarn or Scoubidou band, wool needle, measuring tape, scissors.
Luumi Cardigan is a classic cardigan with V-neck and integrated pockets. Luumi Cardigan is worked in stockinette stitch seamlessly top down – flat and in rounds. The yoke is worked flat with raglan increases. Then, the yoke is divided into body and sleeves, which are all finished separately. The body is worked flat and is finished with a 1×1 ribbed hem. The sleeves are worked in rounds. They are finished with 1×1 ribbed cuffs that are worked with accentuated, decorative decreases. Finally, you work the front band that is closed with buttons. Due to the top-down-technique, all lengths can easily be adjusted to your own measurements.
