Yarn alternatives (total amount)
You can knit the Sweet Nothing Cardi with many light yarns. The key is to match gauge (washed & blocked). Depending on the yarn, the character changes: mohair-silk is especially light and soft; alpaca/suri tends to be a little more voluminous; alpaca or wool blends look smoother and more compact.

FAQs
Who is the Sweet Nothing Cardi suitable for?
This pattern is suitable for confident beginners. You should be comfortable knitting in rows and in the round, and working basic increases and decreases.
How is the Sweet Nothing Cardi knitted?
The cardigan is worked seamlessly top down as a raglan from the top (RVO). It is an open cardigan with no closure.
Is it knitted flat or in the round?
You will work both flat and in the round, depending on the section. The construction is seamless and builds from the top down.
How important is the gauge swatch?
Very important. Gauge is measured washed and blocked:

Which needles do I need?
A 4 mm circular needle (at least 80 cm). For smaller circumferences you can use 4 mm DPNs or the Magic Loopmethod.
