FAQs
FAQs – Zoora Cuffs (English)
What skill level do I need?
The Zoora Cuffs are suitable for ambitious beginners with basic experience in knitting in the round.
Twisted stitches and simple increases/decreases are explained step by step.
How are the Zoora Cuffs constructed?
The cuffs are knitted top down in one piece and shaped through a combination of knit, purl and twisted stitches.
The texture makes them naturally stretchy, allowing them to fit a wide range of hand sizes.
You can choose between a short and a long version.
Which yarns can I use?
The pattern is written for Fiberpassion Silky Merino DK or compatible DK/light DK yarns reaching the gauge of 22 sts × 30 rows = 10 × 10 cm (washed and blocked).
Tested alternatives include:
Single-strand options:
– BC Garn Bio Balance
– Knitting for Olive Merino
– Sandnes Garn Sunday
– Drops Merino Extra Fine
Two-strand options (to replace Ecopuno + Silkhair):
– Sandnes Tynn Peer Gynt + Tynn Silk Mohair
– Drops Baby Merino + Drops Kid-Silk
All yarns create a soft, flexible fabric with excellent stretch.

Can I adjust the length?
Yes.
Because the cuffs are knitted from the top down, you can easily adjust the length by working additional rows before the decreases.
Please note: longer cuffs require additional yarn.
Which needles do I need?
Depending on the chosen yarn version:
3 mm, 3.5 mm and 4 mm circular needles (100 cm) and a crochet hook for the provisional cast-on.
Details are listed separately for the short and long version in the pattern.
How do I care for the finished cuffs?
Please follow the wool-care instructions in my detailed guide:
Wolle waschen leicht gemacht – so pflegst du deine Strickstücke richtig
Most yarns can be washed in the machine’s wool cycle with wool detergent and low spin (600 rpm).
Alternatively, handwashing is possible.
Always dry flat.

– Knit and purl stitches
– Twisted stitches
