Description

The Aava Cardigan is a classic cardigan with a moderate boat neckline – a versatile piece you can wear all year round.

It is worked seamlessly from the top down using the Contiguous method. The neckline is shaped with short rows while the shoulders are formed with paired increases. Sleeve increases follow, and the upper yoke includes a later raglan section. After separating the sleeves, the body is worked flat and finished with ribbing. You can choose between a boxy silhouette or a classic shaped version. The sleeves are worked in the round and end with ribbed cuffs.

Finally, stitches are picked up along the front edges for the button bands. Choose a classic ribbed button band or the more advanced Double Face button band in brioche. The Double Face version uses more yarn – plan 1 extra ball to be safe.
