Techniques
Casting on stitches, knit and purl stitches, short rows, knitting in rows and rounds, right and left leaning increases.
Heedi Sweater is a straight-cut sweater with a round neckline and pretty wide ribbings. Heedi is worked seamlessly top down.
First, the upper back piece is worked flat, while the shoulders are shaped with short rows and the armholes with increases.
You then knit the right and left front piece straight to the upper back piece and work in rows. Once the neckline is shaped and the armholes have been worked with increases, you join both front pieces.
For the body, you join front and back piece, close to the round and work the body in rounds to the ribbed hem.
The sleeve stitches are picked up along the outer edges (formed by the side pieces at front and back) and are also worked in rounds.
The sleeves are worked without decreases.
You pick up stitches for yet another ribbing around the neckline and work it in rounds, too.
For hem and cuffs, you bind off all stitches, before you pick them up again with a certain technique (see p. 9).
Due to the top down method, all lengths can easily be adjusted individually to your own measurements.
