Yarn approx. 300/300/400/400/400/500/500/500 g or approx. 450/490/545/600/660/725/800/880 m Erika Knight Local Wool Aran (100% wool, meterage approx. 180 m/100 g) Here in col. Bennett Pale Blue.

Recommended needles

Circular needles 4,5 and 5 mm, 40 – 60 cm and approx. 80 – 100 cm long.

Gauge, washed and blocked

Truudi Vestover is a classic unisex slipover with a rolled edge at the neckline, saddle shoulders and a slightly wider body. Truudi is worked seamlessly top down in stockinette stitch. The neckline is shaped with short rows (German short rows), while at the same time the saddle shoulders are worked with right and left leaning increases in right- and wrong side rows. Then, the shoulder stitches are placed on hold and front and back are worked flat separately to the end of the armholes.

For the body, front and back are joined again and are worked in rounds.  The body ends with a pretty hem and a small rolled edge.  For the ribbings at the armholes, you place the held shoulder stitches back onto the needle and pick up new stitches at the sides of the armholes.

The length of the Truudi Vestover can be adjusted individually.
