Vinnje Collar

Sizes 1/2/3, Shoulder width approx. 33/37/41 cm.
Vinnje Collar is a neck and body warmer in fisherman’s rib.
It can be worked in 3 sizes.
To ensure that Vinnje Collar fits perfectly and keeps you nice and warm, I start with a highly elastic cast on.
You have the choice between two versions:
You can either work Vinnje Collar with a
stand-up collar or a turtle neck and optionally close it with laces.
Vinnje Collar is a reversible neck/ body warmer and looks great with both the „knob-by“ side as well as the classic fisherman’s rib pattern on the outside.
The collar is worked in rounds.
Thereafter, it is divided into front and back and continued flat.
The shoulders are shaped with right and left leaning double increases, which give the collar a very special look.
Vary Vinnje Collar in your own personal way!
You can knit it with stripes, work the turtle neck in contrasting colours or knit it complete-ly out of stash yarn for a unique look.
Fisherman’s rib will tend to „grow“ slightly in length and width when washed. Please bear this in mind when knitting.

350/350/400 g Lana Grossa Cool Merino Big (90 % wool (merino), 10 % polyamide) meterage approx. 90 m / 50 g) here: in col. 201 Rohweiß,
Version 3 with turtleneck and laces
250/250/300 g Lamana Como Grande (100 % wool (merino superfine),meterage approx. 120 m / 50 g) here: in col. 05 Silbergrau.
Recommended needles
Circular needles
4,5 mm and 5 mm, 40 cm and min. 80 cm long,
for the I-cord-laces
2 dpns, 4,5 mm,
for the optional, provisional cast on 1 crochet hook 4,5 mm.
Gauge
10 x 10 cm = 18 stitches x 36 rows/ rounds washed and unblocked on needle 5 mm in fisherman’s rib.
Supplies
1 smooth scrap yarn (e.g., cotton) with same weight as working yarn, wool needle, measuring tape, scissors, stitch markers, 1 of them in contrasting colour for round’s beginning.
