The Vinnje Mittens are classic wrist warmers in fisherman’s rib for the whole family. They can be worked in 4 sizes.
To ensure that the Vinnje Mittens fit perfectly around the wrists
and keep them warm, I start with a highly elasticated cast on method.
The Vinnje Mittens are equally beautiful from both sides and can be worn with each side facing outwards.
The thumb gusset is worked with double increases, which create a distinctive look.
Customise the Vinnje Mittens in your own personal way!
They can be worked single-coloured, with stripes or with colourful scrap yarn from your stash to turn them into absolutely unique pieces.
Fisherman’s rib will tend to „grow“ slightly in length and width when washed. Please bear this in mind when knitting.
The Vinnje Beanie goes perfectly with the Vinnje Mittens.

Recommended needles
Circular needles
2,5 mm and 3 mm, 20 cm long.
Crochet hook 3 mm.
Measurement of gauge swatch
10 x 10 cm = 18 stitches x 40 rounds washed and un-blocked with needle 3 mm in pattern.
Supplies
1 smooth scrap yarn (e.g., cotton), wool needle, measuring tape, scissors, stitch markers, 1 of them in contrasting colour for round’s beginning.
